Client: Preservation Chicago
Project Overview: As part of a documentary class in college, we partnered with local organizations in Chicago to create video content supporting their causes. My group collaborated with Preservation Chicago, an organization devoted to protecting the city's historic architecture.
Role: I worked as part of a team of three to produce the documentary, taking ownership of the post-production process.
Software Used: Adobe Premiere Pro for editing, Adobe Audition for small sound edits, DaVinci Resolve for color correction.
Creative Challenges:
We weren’t allowed to conduct a formal shoot inside the church, so we had to approach it guerilla-style—being resourceful while remaining respectful of the church and its congregation.
What I Loved About This Project:
As a history enthusiast, I was so excited to create content advocating for the stunning architecture of a city I love!
Outcome and Impact:
As of 2024, the Chicago Landmark Commission unanimously voted to landmark all four buildings on the St. Adalbert Church site, ensuring their preservation and opening opportunities for future funding!!
